I want to open a beauty supply between now and the next 10 years.I am 17 right now, about to be 18. I am unsure about how to calculate how much money I will need for merchandise, rent, and all the other aspects of a new business.

You will want to develop a business plan, which plans out your location, your research into the market, your expenses (for fixed costs like rent and variable costs like inventory), your marketing strategy, etc. If you have never done a business plan, visit with a local SCORE counselor. SCORE is a nonprofit volunteer group that works with the SBA nationwide to provide FREE business consulting. They can hlep you think of what you need to know.

I am 17 years old and plan to go to college(I live in Atlanta) for a guess a business degree.However, I have a passion for beauty products and I dream of opening a local beauty retail store similar to ULTA and Sally’s but much more personal and knowledgeable. I know this plan will take many years to implement, but I am wondering if I should have a cosmetology license too.
I am crazy about actually doing someone else’s hair or makeup, but i love the products. I also wanna go to law school,so deciding to go to beauty school for whatever(skin or hair) kind of gets in the way.
